I just found out that people hire Artists just to write Graffitti Names at Parties. I can do that. What a fun easy event for me.
Now if only I can figure out how to Spell Graffiti

I feel frustrated about Caricaturing people After they are Face Painted. Sometimes it’s really hard to see what they look like underneath the transformative power of a good face painting. Other times I just would not want there to be any confusion about who the Face Painting Artist is.
I am a Face Painter as well as a Caricaturist. You can see Samples of my Face Painting at facepaintingexpress.blogspot.com
But I usually do only one or the other Activity at an event. And if I am hired to do Both, I arrange the time so I would finish Caricaturing before I start Face Painting.
But here are a few examples of what happens when I am Caricaturing at the same time that someone else is Face-Painting. I feel like I was successful seeing through this Simple Face Painting. But I was Not the Face Painter in this case. I would never paint like that.
Just for fun, I tried to quickly cover up the Face Painting in the reference before posting this Caricature. Egads! Ouch.

Today I was hired to draw all the Children ~ only draw Adults if there’s time at the end of the 2-year-old’s Party.
4:29pm - Me, as a woman sits into the seat: “I’m only going to be here until 4:30. This is going to last one.”
Woman: “Oh ~ Then you can come into the picture with me, Honey.”
Me: “I meant I could only draw one more Person. There are other activities planned for you at 4:30.
Woman: “But oh we just got married”
My Client: “I don’t understand. They are newleyweds.”
Me, can’t think anymore. I guess I should eat some lunch already: “Oh, I see. But you are going to be drawn together as one.”
They all liked the picture I drew. Everybody was happy.
But when I got to Starbucks, I used the reference photo to try an IPad Caricature again. Today I figured out how to choose whether I want to affect one layer at a time or more-than-one layer at a time.

Here I was working at a Hebrew School. I was hired to Caricature each child with the meaning of his/her Hebrew Name included (each child sat with a ‘flashcard’ of his/her name/meaning).

Most of the time, Black and White Caricatures come out ummmm, more Serious. Not the stuff that I usually think of for H A P P Y P A R T E E E Y , but I accommodate my client’s wishes when they request Black and White. It’s a quieter, more introspective feeling for the Party, and they are real nice to have around. Here are a few Samples I made to inspire me when I’m doing Black and White Caricatures:
